I have a 5 ft by 8 ft utility trailer. One of its uses to haul my racing Kart to and from the track. The trailer tailgate doubles as two 5-foot ramps, but they are narrow and my Kart stand did not fit on the ramps when the ramps were in place for loading and unloading. I saw these 5-foot ramps on Amazon. They are great. The notch at the end locks onto my utility trailer. I use them next to the existing trailer ramps and they provide a wide ramp base for my Kart stand. They appear to be heavy-duty (But I have only put 300 pounds of weight on them so far). They are light weight aluminum but solid. Good investment.

I have a dump trailer I use to haul equipment with – the problem is the ramps it came with are heavy steel, and use angle iron as the cross-members, which are spaced 8″ apart. This spacing doesn’t work well with equipment that has smaller tires, as they fall in between the cross-members. I tried plywood strips, but that slips all over. I also considered adding a couple more angle iron cross-members in between the existing ones, but that would make the ramps even heavier. These were the perfect solution – light in weight, but thick and strong aluminum – I see no flexing when loading. The front lip fits perfectly on the bar across the back made to hook my steel ramps on. All the structural welds are solid, the cross straps are secured well, even if the welds aren’t picture perfect on these. This solution works well for me.
