These are excellent tires on dirt roads, gravel, and rough paved roads. I frequently ride unimproved mountain roads and small country roads with a LOT of unlevel pavement, ruts, grooves, and recent repairs (poorly done)…as well as the occasional fire road/trail. These Trailmax Mission tires really perform well in these conditions. They also do well on state highways and interstate expressways (even on a relatively long trip), but they won’t be as comfortable as a full street tire (obviously). The only drawback is their less-than-favorable performance in mud, but you really need a full-up knobby tire for that. I highly recommend these tires, and they’re also very popular with many of my friends. As a side note, these tires seem to operate very well offroad without airing them down. I know that’s a personal preference/contingent on conditions, but – with these tires – I don’t have to bother with it.

Great tire ,have about 1000 miles on it.Does make road noise .but not bad.And if it’s anything at all like the rear I will put on another.Just ordered a rear trailmax. And I very seldom run the same tire 2xgood wetGood in gravel

I bought these to replace my usual brand (Avon as they stopped making the Distanza that I have been using for a decade.) After much research I choose these. Great on highway and canyon roads. Stick well in the curves and not too chattering at high speeds on both cement and asphalt highways. Very happy. Will see how long they last but 400 miles in and they are great.
