My last tire, Kenda Washoughal a soft tire was tore up in the desert in the 1st few rides and were completely destroyed after 6 or 7 rides. These seem harder rubber and the design allows a good bite in desert soil (rocky/rough grain, not sand). Not sure if they allow one to update their review but I will if they do this after a couple of more rides.
