The carrier came in a heavy duty box in great condition. There weren’t any parts or pieces peeking out, nor any holes or tears. Assembly took approximately 45 minutes. I did cheat and on the larger bolts used my impact wrench. It went together just fine – everything fit, holes lined up – the quality of the piece was very good. Of course that is what I was expecting, being USA made and 3 times the price of the import models. Put together, it is very sturdy even with my 300# frame hopping up and down on it. Follow the instructions in the videos online. All in all, I wanted the heaviest duty ramp I could find – my KLR weighs in at 450#, but I heard several horror stories about the cheaper models. I guess the moral of the story is – if you have a $200 bike, buy a $200 hitch carrier. This one is excellent. I will be travelling about 600 miles to Georgia next month and will update this review then.
