I’ve owned Yamaha brand and non-OEM made covers. This one is built more like the factory style cover, with piping at the seams and a soft underside layer on the cover. The material is lighter than some with 420D denier versus 600, but I don’t think this impacts the durability in this case because of the extra material under-layers. (Also, the lighter weight material makes for easier handling over a larger PWC.) I use the cover to protect the watercraft in storage on a dock side boat lift – I previously only got 2-3 years out of a cover before the UV deterioration breaks down the material regardless of it being 420 or 600 thickness.This cover looks good, and is relatively easy to install. Bonus feature #1: It includes an attached storage duffle bag, so you will never lose that bag, and always have it handy when removing the cover from the PWC. Also, it is priced very competitively, and much less than the Yamaha cover, which frankly lasted no longer than the aftermarket covers.Bonus feature #2: a waterproof zipper is built-in for access to the console area. If you have ever forgotten your wallet, keys, phone, etc. in the boat, only to remember after covering it, that you left it in the console, you will appreciate this feature. No need to pull the cover off to get to the center compartment – just unzip, open, and zip back up.
