Great tire long lasting performance the last Shinko tire I put on lasted 12,000 miles before I needed to buy this one . That seemed pretty good to me anyway . I will continue to use Shinko Tire’s great price much lower than a lot of other brands out there .

  3. Mittie Rosenbaum

Would recommend! Arrived on time and was exactly as described. This tire was very easy to install and performed better than expected! I put this tire through its paces and it took everything I threw at it and it was super cheap!

I wanted a 777 series to match the rear but was not available in my size.went for the 712 instead and it seems to be ok, bike handles as well as it did with Metzelers on it, only had it on the bike a short while so cannot comment on longevity

I fit this tire to the front of my Moto Guzzi SP2, an old school touring bike. I like Shinko tires because they offer solid engineering, good all-weather performance, and great mileage for the money. Kudos to Longhorn Moto for keeping the price point down and shipping my tire out the same day.

I will not rewrite my previous review found on the 110/90H-18 but in a nutshell, I wanted Shinko 712 tires and was having a hard time finding a 90/90-18 in stock in a Shinko 712 anywhere. So I snagged this one as I had heard that the 100/90 was quite acceptable for the TU. In the first 10 miles of riding or so I thought maybe I had made a mistake as the bike seemed more skittery than normal during tire break in. This was not the case. After about 100 miles of riding and ginger cornering I found that even with the slightly oversized front tire this bike still handles beautifully. There is plenty of clearance for the fender and I did not have any challenges mounting this tire effectively. I have not noticed any greater tendency towards speed wobble or any other nasty side effects that can come from messing with factory tire specifications.I highly recommend the Shinko 712 for anybody with a lighter bike looking for an excellent value tire with great performance and wear characteristics.
