It works great. It’s a nice material and it fit my Petzl climbing helmet perfectly. I work on cell towers well above any tree line that could provide me and shade and this works so well to keep the sun off of my face and nice. Highly recommend.

Got this for my work helmet. Fits snuggly, with no worries about it coming off on its own, even in a decent wind. There seems to be a wire along the outside edge of the brim, which lets you bend it in whatever shape you want, and it stays reasonably well, allowing for whatever use you want.Pretty happy with this addition to my kit!

Most sun hats are very hot to wear in the summer, and I cannot wear them with my bike helmet at all. I needed a better shade provider both in the garden and when riding, so I ordered this visor, despite its not really being made for my intended uses. It is very sturdy and well-made and provides shade both by being a hat-brim as well as with the attachable neck flap and face cover. As another reviewer commented, there is a “nerd” or “dork” factor to wearing this as I intend to wear it, but I’m okay with that. Using just the brim around my bare head provides sun protection for my face and neck (if not for my scalp). If I add it to my bike helmet, I have neck and face shade, and if the neck flap and/or face cover are added, I have some wind and cold protection for fall and winter riding. Yes, I will look goofy, but I won’t get sun- or wind-burned (I hope).

Seriously it’s amazing being able to have a full brim on a helmet. This one packs down reasonably well, so I can put it in my search and rescue pack and have it should I need it. It definitely cuts into my visibility, so I don’t think I’d wear it while actually climbing, and certainly not while belaying a climber, but for industrial or rescue situations where you’re mostly wearing your helmet for safety reasons and not actively climbing? This thing is just the best.Also having the full neck shield available is doubly amazing.
