I got this to go on my 2009 Honda Shadow Aero VT750C. I had just bought the bike used and it had a small drip coming from the bottom middle of the petcock. Called a couple bike shops and auto part stores and I got prices anywhere from about $70-$169 for factory replacement parts. I knew that was way too much for this part so came over to trusty old Amazon and found this jewel. Pulled my tank off and removed the old petcock and replaced with this one and I was done in about 5-10 minutes. Easiest part to replace yet. It comes with a new filter that runs into your gas tank but I left my old one in since I know that wasn’t the problem and it made the process faster. A lot of people say trying to replace the filter has led to it breaking off in their gas tank and I didn’t want to deal with that. (If that does happen, you had to act like you’re getting a guitar pick out of your guitar. Turn it upside down and shake it til you see the filter and then grab it with a pair of needle nose pliers or your fingers.)I’ve put several hours of riding on the bike since then and no leak whatsoever. Switch is smooth and it feels like it’s built very well for the price. I will def update this written review, should any of that change.

This is a good quality item that is perfectly matched to the original part. Installation was a snap. Everything fit just fine. It’s functioning perfectly now.

Put in my 2009 Shadow. Be aware that the brass inlet tube is LONGER than the tube on the original. Be sure to measure and cut tube to same length or you’ll have issues with fuel flow. DO NOT smash the brass when you cut it. I used a small plumbing pipe cutter and it cut the brass neatly and cleanly with no crimping or dents. Also pay attention to gasket at base where it meets the tank.
