First of all, my use case for this is my 2005 BMW R1200RT which sits outdoors 24×7 year around. I live in the upstate of South Carolina and so it’s relatively temperate with extreme heat/humidity in the summer and mild winters with occasional freezes since I’m in the foothills of the mountains. My bike is in pristine condition because I take care of it and a key part of that is my bike covers: I’ve used a couple revisions of a particular budget cover purchased from Amazon which I won’t mention here because the 1st version was spectacular (for the price) and the next revision was absolute garbage and didn’t last but a few months. I was so disgusted by that 2nd revision that instead of shopping for a value cover I went for the other end of the spectrum – the best I could find because I was insulted in the product that I had previously purchased. Well, this cover was the other end of the spectrum for what I could find for my bike. And Wow! Just Wow! I’ve been using it for 5 months now and while that’s not yet a few years (like I’m expecting to get), I’m extremely impressed: I have the optional ratchet system for the tie down and I HIGHLY recommend it since it eliminates wind buffeting which will wear away paint for covers left on for long periods of time (like my bike has from my previous covers that fitted loosely). The ventilation system built into the cover is fantastic – it eliminates mildew that is certainly a problem in my climate when a cover is left on for many weeks at a time during the hot/humid summer months. The superior materials and fit and top-notch – what you would expect at this price; you get what you pay for when buying some products and that’s the case here. In summary – you don’t know what you’ll actually get when buying online but I was thoroughly impressed because I got what I paid for when I bought this. Excellent product all the way ’round.
