So needed a motorcycle gas tank vent check valve that would vent as well as prevent fuel leakage on tip over & this fit the bill perfectly. The check ball is weighted but the interior chamber is large enough to allow the ball to lift & vent when the gas tank pressurizes with engine heat or day time heat. Regular cheap plastic inline vent checks don’t work because the vapor pressure from the tank fuel is strong enough to force the plastic ball check to seat & block venting. Had exactly this problem & its no fun when you pop the cap on the tank & you get a blast in the face of gas vapor & droplets.Of course you have to take care with mounting this in a vertical or mostly vertical position to ensure it works properly to vent & block fuel flow when you tip over.
