Very easy installation (except years of salt water making things hard to pry apart). The real surprise was when I began using them – they’re smoother and quieter than the MerCruiser OEM they replaced. I honestly think the quality control is better on these SEI replacements than was the case on the MerCruiser units. I began having trouble with the originals after only 2-3 years. They were never as fast and quiet as these.Best of all, got this whole job done for about $350. Mechanic – who is good, and fair – was over $1K to replace with MerCruiser parts.
